The Red Lion – The pub is the heart of Preston’s community and stands proudly as the first example of a community-owned public house anywhere in the UK, having been bought from Whitbreads in the early 1980’s.

Preston Cricket Club – The club was first founded in 1882. In the modern era, the club has grown into a highly respected cricket club providing a welcoming and safe cricketing environment for all.

The Village Hall – The hall accommodates meeting and functions for up to 50 people. It is where we hold many of the key parish organisation meetings. Discounted booking rates are available for residents.

Education: College, School and Nursery

Preston Village Pre-School – will start operation in the village hall in January 2025 on Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 3pm, with 2 three-hour sessions each day. It will take children from the age of 2 until they start school in the September after their fourth birthday.

Preston Primary School – “Our ethos as a Church School, built on Christian values recognises that all our children are unique and our aim is to treat all children as individuals, supporting them to achieve success and developing mutual respect for all, regardless of background or ability.

Preston Village Voices – “By now you’ve surely heard us, so please come and join us! No audition required, but being able to sing in tune would help!

SG4 – SG4 are a nine-piece band originally formed in Preston, Hitchin in 2008. The group’s musical style has been described as “eclectic”. It consists of a wide variety of alternative rock with elements of folk, blues, pop, R&B, reggae and country and many more due to band members’ diverse influences.
