Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring your gardening/DIY gloves. As usual, we will work in pairs along each lane and footpath, and bring the filled sacks back to The Green. Just come along and lend a hand, please! Friday 20 Mar 2020(1 event) Evening: Posh vs Plonk Wine Evening POSTPONED Evening The 'Posh v Plonk' Wine Evening is postponed Due to concerns about the Coronavirus, The Preston Trust committee has decided that it would be prudent to postpone the Wine Evening that was to have been held on Friday the 20th March. After an initial (and encouraging) burst of bookings the take up dropped off and several of you who came last year said you would love to take part, but not in the current circumstances. We apologise for disappointing those of you who had already booked, but feel it is a sensible precaution to postpone due to the number of people in very social close confines with buffet style nibbles. Considerable planning has gone in to the evening so we promise that will not be wasted and it is only postponed. The Preston Trust committee The Village Hall |

At any rate, that is my hope, but you never quite know with the internet or my computer skills! Access to the broadcast will be via the A Church near you St Paul’s Walden website. I hope you will want to tune in and follow it with us. Meanwhile there is a pew sheet for this Sunday which can be accessed via this link

Saturday 4 Apr 2020(1 event) 2:00 pm: The Great Easter Egg Hunt - POSTPONED – This was going to be on Saturday 4 April, 2.00pm – 4.00pm Dear Children, Parents and Guardians, Due to the developments in the Coronavirus situation the Easter Egg Hunt is being postponed. The Easter Eggs’ best by dates are next year. We will still be able to have a great fun filled afternoon – just not on the original day. Please let us know if you are interested. Having your booking (which does not commit you to the day) will give us your contact details so we can keep you updated. It also helps us buy enough eggs, while they are available, including anything needed to cater for any allergies or intolerances. Payment of £2 per child will be on the day. If you don’t want to book now, you can still book when the new date is announced. Follow a short trail through the village to where the Easter Eggs are waiting, with things to do along the way… Will there be Easter Chicks to play among or bunny paw prints to hop along? With different questions to answer, challenges to try and new games to play, come along and enjoy this fun filled afternoon! A great time to share with all the family. To book, or ask questions, please use our Event Contact Form We look forward to welcoming you – Rae, Preston Trust committee member The Village Green |
